LEAD BASE INFORMATION AND IMPORTANT
THINGS TO REMEMBER TO AVOID COSTLY REPAIRS
Things to know about lead-based paint:
Lead base disclosure info.
Housing built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. Lead from paint, paint chips and dust can cause health hazards if not managed properly. Lead exposure is especially harmful to young children and pregnant women. Before renting pre-1978 housing, owners must disclose the presence of lead based paint hazards in the dwelling. Renters must also receive a federally approved pamphlet on lead poisoning prevention.
Things to remember for routine maintenance:
1.Test your smoke alarms to make sure batteries are in tact.
2. Make sure the air filters are clean and replaced routinely.
3. Gutters are clear of debris.
4. Report any signs of water leaks as soon as noticed.
